Noche cubana

Compositor: Cesar Portillo de la Luz
Estilo: Guaguancó
Grabación: Totico y sus Rumberos

Noche cubana
Morena bonita de alma sensual
Con tu sonrisa de luna
Y adorno de estrellas
Voz de susurro de palmas
Y arrullo de mar
Besa la luna
Y tu abrazo es calor tropical
Noche criolla
¿Quién junto a ti
No quisiera soñar?
¿Quién a la luz
De tu blanca sonrisa
No quiere besar?
Negra bonita
De ojos estrellas
Y en tus brazos morenos
Quiere vivir un romance
Mi alma bohemia

Coro: Suelte el cabo, que el barco se va

El autor no es Adolfo Guzman, es Cesar Portillo de la Luz

The author of this composition is actually CESAR PORTILLO DE LA LUZ. It was composed as a "canción feeling", and it was often recorded to the beat of the Cuban bolero. A bolero cha cha chá version was also done by violinist Pupi Legarretta in New York during the sixties.

A very nice coro has been added to Totico's guaguancó version , but I think that the lyric are: "Suelta el cabo que el barco se va". I could be wrong, but since I don't have the recoding at this moment I can't verify this.

Regards to all the rumberos,
CHICO ALVAREZ PERAZA
